Could SDSS have prevented the Ft. Hood tragedy?

November 18, 2009 · Filed Under Stock Newsletters

More and more details seem to be coming out of Ft. Hood surrounding the murder of 13 servicemen by Army Major Nidal Hasan.  Apparently Hasan has had contact with radical organizations, and was fed violent ideology.  Many say the signs were on the wall that Hasan was not fit to serve his country.  Now, I don’t get in politics.  That’s not the point of this post.  I am writing to suggest that if these connections did in fact exist, that Suspect Detection Systems’ (SDSS.OB) Cogito technology would have snuffed it out.

Cogito Technology is an automated rapid interrogation system that can perform the work of a seasoned investigator and a polygraph machine in a matter of minutes–with incredible accuracy.  Federal law enforcement agencies all over the world, and even some local law enforcement in the U.S. are already using the technology to solve crimes and prevent terror attacks.

But one of the unique aspects of this technology is that is also being utilized by some agencies and private enterprises for employment screenings.  The system exposes the hostile intent of a potential suspect, including the connections an individual may have to organized crime and terrorist organizations.

Again, I am not advocating for or against any policies.  My specialty is in identifying companies with sound management, strategy and technology.  And that is why after studying SDSS, I can be fairly certain that if all the soldiers at the Ft. Hood base were subject to regular and random screenings using the Cogito system, there is a high likelihood that Hasan would have been identified as an individual with radical associations well before this tragedy took place.
Yours truly,
